MELISSA REYNOLDS-APPEL – Instructor
Melissa Reynolds-Appel began her dance training at the Joan Harris Centre. It was here, where she fell in love with dance and knew she couldn’t live life without it. She continued her dance education and received a Bachelor’s degree in dance from DeSales University, located in Center Valley, Pa. While studying at DSU, she performed in many student and faculty ensembles. Melissa was hand selected by faculty and dance professionals to participate in three dance residencies. During this time, she had the opportunity to study and perform choreographic works presented by Marisa Cervias (New York City Ballet), Dan Joyce (Mark Morris Dance Company) and Sean Curran (Sean Curran Dance). She also traveled to South Carolina to perform a modern dance ensemble choreographed by Jessica Fultz, The Collective Dance Company. After graduation, Melissa relocated to Boston, Massachusetts where she taught ballet and modern at Mendon Dance Center. Additionally, Miss Melissa auditioned and was selected to perform with the Acton Ballet/Boston Dance Company. To name a few, Melissa also studied under the instruction of Angeline Wolf, Trinette Singleton, Vincent Brosseau, Gretchen McLaine, Kristin Feisler, Tim Cowart, Kun-Yang Lin, Andrew Pap, Eva Szabo, Ronen Koresh and Luis Bravo. Melissa returned to NEPA, married the love of her life and is now a proud mother of 2 beautiful girls.
