Community and Professional Shows

One would think that with five full-school shows a year that would be enough for our dancers, however, they just love to perform.  Additionally, we believe in having our children play an active role in the community, giving back to those who have given us so much.  These opportunities include dancing at festivals, in liturgical services, with local theater groups and touring professional companies.

Annually we are asked to be part of the Fine Arts Fiesta in Wilkes-Barre.  The celebrated four day event brings together both visual and performing artist from all across the country.  Our dancers perform at local professional sporting events including for the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins and the Scranton Wilkes-Barre Railriders.  We have choreographed and directed flash mobs in support of the American Cancer Society, and raised monies for Dance 4 A Cause.  Each year our students appear in countless amounts of theatrical productions and musicals and we try to take part in as many fairs and festivals as our schedule permits.

As for working with professionally touring companies, we have been blessed to be hired as the host studio for the internationally touring ballet company The Moscow Ballet for nearly twenty years now.  They contract our own Miss Elisabeth to train local dancers to appear with them on stage when they produce either The Great Russian Nutcracker, or Swan Lake in Wilkes-Barre.  The studio has also been hired to train dancers for local performance by Kidz Bop Live, The Wizard of Oz, Weird Al Yankovich and many other touring shows.
