We have been voted annually Best Dance Studio by the readers of the Times Leader, The Citizens Voice, Diamond City, and the NEPA Family Magazine.  To date, in fact, the Joan Harris Centre has been honored with that title every single year each of those publications has held their polls.  This of course is a source of pride for our students and families, however, we are equally proud of the manner in which professional companies and educational institutions regard our school.  The internationally touring company, Moscow Ballet, for example has engaged us to be the host studio to train local dancers to perform with them for nearly twenty years.  Likewise, nationally touring shows including, Kid Bop Live, The Wizard of Oz, Mikado, and even Weird Al Yankovich have used the centre to prepare performers for their local appearances.  The F. M. Kirby Center, the premiere theater in NEPA, the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins and the Scranton Wilkes-Barre Railriders all have asked the Joan Harris Centre to partner with them in projects.  Wilkes University, King College, Misericordia University along with various school districts have hired our instructors to conduct dance and movement courses for them.  These are professional institutions that depend on using only the best and all have chosen to work with the Joan Harris Centre.
